LAS VEGAS—Assemblywoman Dr. Robin Titus (Churchill, Lyon-part) was unanimously selected this week to be Caucus Leader of the Nevada Assembly Republican Caucus for the 81st Legislative Session, slated to begin Feb. 1, 2021.
The caucus’s leadership team for the Assembly also includes co-deputy leaders Tom Roberts (Clark-part) for the south and Jill Tolles (Washoe-part) for the north; Glen Leavitt (Clark-part) as minority whip; Lisa Krasner (Washoe-part) as assistant whip for the north; and Gregory Hagen (Clark-part, Lincoln-part, Nye-part) for the south.
In a statement after her selection, Dr. Titus noted that the state’s critical issues will require a balanced approach, acknowledging recent election goals to move her party out of a super minority in the Assembly.
“The upcoming legislative session will be challenging in many ways, and there continues to be uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus pandemic,” she said. “From large budget shortfalls, protecting the recovery for businesses and struggling Nevada families, tackling education, healthcare issues, and navigating a redistricting process, Assembly Republicans are committed to finding commonsense, balanced solutions.”
